About Us

Smithsonian.com, George McCaa, U.S. Bureau of Mines

CanaryQ’s origins can be traced back to Stanford University where the founders met in 2010. Our flagship product was initially developed at SRI International and further designed at CanaryQ to integrate diagnostics with a universal sample processing method. Canaries were used as reliable point of care diagnostics to detect deadly gases in coal mines and we strive to offer a product with the same level of simplicity and effectiveness to our customers.
